Student Travel Scholarships

The Food 4 Thought Festival  is committed to making our event accessible to all students interested in attending. We do not want physical proximity to prevent anyone from joining us on our mission to unite future food leaders.

If cost of travel is a roadblock in your decision to attend our festival, we strongly encourage you to apply for one of our Student Travel Scholarships.

We would like to sincerely thank the Culley Foundation and Allied Scholars for Animal Protection for making these scholarships possible and for so diligently believing in the power of students.

01

Apply for University Funding

As our funding is limited, we are not able to guarantee full funding to all interested attendees. We require that you first see if your university offers any scholarships (career development, department funding, research scholarships, etc.). Feel free to use the template below when requesting funds from your university!

02

Apply for a F4T Travel Scholarship

If you would like to apply for a Student Travel Scholarship, please fill out this application ASAP, as these will be awarded on a rolling basis. Applicants must currently be a student in an undergraduate, masters, or PhD program to be considered.

03

Book your travel

If you are a recipient of one of our Student Travel Scholarships, we will reimburse your flight and hotel expenses.

For flights, please look into flying to Boston Logan Airport. We recommend using the platform Kayak to find the most cost-effective options.

For hotels, please click the link below for our recommended stays. However, you may also use Kayak and search for hotels in the areas of Woburn, Burlington, Lexington, and Medford for your stay. Hotels slightly further from Cambridge/Boston are significantly cheaper, and we will also be looking into providing transportation from the above hotels or expensing your Ubers.
